Do I Have a Comp Injury?

Workers' Compensation injuries are common these days and will find that these injuries can affect many parts of the body. We frequently encounter different types of orthopedic work and accident injuries as well as internal and organ damage, mental, neuro, brain injury, toxic-poisoning injuries, continuous trauma injuries over the years as well as the sudden event type of injuries. More and more, we are seeing carpal tunnel, hand and arm problems together with neck, back and shoulder injuries resulting from awkward working positions; damage can be caused by repetitive work or even lack of movement in static positions in which employees are having to work. Workers are asked to lift, carry and push heavy items and this leads to life-long problems and surgery in many cases. Then there are the hidden injuries from loud noise over the years, toxic poisoning over time and even fibromyalgia symptoms caused by work. Workers who are subjected to serious harassment on the job from overwork or other unreasonable abnormal treatment may have a cause for filing a "Comp" case, but usually must show the predominance of the work relationship cause of employment psyche cases. Momentous events such as robberies at work can lead to psych compensation claims for disability whether temporary or permanent and even sexual harassment cases at work can be the subject of a workers' compensation case.

As a worker you have various rights, which include but are not limited to rights to treatment, medical mileage reimbursements, temporary and permanent disability benefits.
